In morning depart for Jessore park. The sanctuary is located in the Jessore hills of Aravalli hills, to the south of the Thar desert. It was declared a sanctuary covering an area of 180.66 square kilometres (69.75 sq mi) in 1978. The sanctuary area lies between the desert ecosystem and the dry deciduous type of ecosystem, and the forested area helps in arresting desertification and advancement of Thar desert. Then move to Balaram resort. JESSORE PARK TO BALARAM: [47 min (32.1 km)] Balaram Palace Resort, once the hunting retreat of the Lohani Nawab of Palanpur, is now a Heritage Classic hotel. It was built between 1922-1936 by the 29th ruler of Palanpur. It is a graceful manifestation of neo-classical and baroque architectural style. Situated amidst the Aravallis in the 542 sq. kms of Balaram Ambaji Reserve Forest at the tip of North Gujarat it borders Rajasthan. The palace is set in 13 acres of terraced upland rising from a hilly stream and surrounded by lush green gardens and designed flower beds. Then back to ahmedabad.
